Engine flush
Im thinking about getting my engine flushed and i have heard mixed opinions from friends and i was wondering if it would be better or worse for my car? its a 99 ex M/T with 156,000 miles and i know for sure it hasnt been done already

RE: Engine flush
Good idea. Save money by doing a Seafoam treatment yourself. Split the container ($8) equally into the gas tank, brake booster vacuum line, and crankcase. Replace engine oil about 200 mi later.

RE: Engine flush
I saw Seafoam at both NAPA and O'Reilly in my area. Search the forum for members' experiences using the product. I've read nothing but positive reviews. I also treated my Civic and found that it worked fine without any problems.

RE: Engine flush
I ruined an engine once using an engine flush in a can. I would not personally do it again. I know a mechanic at a gas station that sells the seafoam stuff and he says he would never use it. So thats two NO votes.
Unless there is a really good reason to do so I would not.
