has anyone had an issue with their fuel gauge? my gf drives her 2000 civic and it will go from being full or wherever it should be at, and then drop down below E, then will return to normal, and then sometimes fluctuate? any ideas? i tried searching but didn't find anything

my jeep does the exact same thing as your gauge, its the float sensor in the tank, they tend to get ""bad spots" and causes a bad connection. the fix... replace the whole fuel pump system, since they dont just sell that piece
