ANyone be willing to give me the torque specs for replacing the exhaust manifold on an 04 civic LX? I need specs for 5 bolts that attach it to the head, for the spring bolts that are at the bottom, and for the O2 sensors.

other than internal componants and head bolts, i dont use a torque wrench. i usually just go by the seat of my pants. i know this doesnt help what youre askin for, but for things like header bolts, spring bolts, and o2 sensors i just go till tight, but not too tight. however i do follow tightening sequences for header bolts.

 

For the 02-03 Civic, all bolts and O2 sensors are 33 lbf-ft, whereas the spring bolts are 16 lbf-ft.

 

33ft/lbs up to the cylinder head? I thought it was supposed to bee 22 ft/lbs? Mine are at 22 and feels like if i push them anymore they are snapping...my car is a 95 though so its probably different.

 

I don't know about the newer civics but I think it should be 23 ft/lbs to the cylinder head (for a 97 civic ex) and I'm trying to find the torque specs for the lower part to the Cadilitic (sp?) converter for a California model
