F22b2 swapped in 89 hatch
My friend has a 89 civic hatch. I just got done looking at it and timing is way off, valves are bent as well. I am not a honda guy to speak of just got my first honda recently (crx b16a swapped). So I do not know what it will involve for a swap of this nature.
I can get my hands on a wrecked 94 accord with the F22b2. The body is garbage but it still runs fine. And the price is right only $400. So basically what will it take?
Personally I am worried about the length of the trans axles I imagine they will be longer on the accord and we might have to get custom ones made. Other than that I have another friend who says he can weld new MotorMounts and knows how to engine swap but cant do any custom machining...
What are we getting ourselves into if we try this swap?
Thanks

Not worth all the effort? I know the motor is not nearly as tunable as any b series motor or a k20 but the price is so good $400. After getting what we need we can take it across the scales and get half our money back.
Or is this type of swap just way too much work, and there are a lot more problems than I foresee?
