Default failed emissions, what should i do?

I took my car in for the test, but i failed the idle part. What should i do? Any tips or tricks, i dont want to fail it again. As i was looking around in the engine bay i found out something that may have contributed to the performance. This is what i found. Where does the other end go to? I also noticed two plugs next to my ecu that wernt plugged up, is it supposed to be like that? I also posted a pic of the emmisions test. Please help me with this.

here's where that tube goes in my car (red arrow)

My CX failed emmsions, about the same % on HC but not as bad on CO. It also failed during idle. I changed oil, used seafoam in gas and oil, changed plugs, cap and rotor, cleaned the battery terminals, and ran it on premium gas. (not sure if the gas did anything, but some ppl recommended it) It passed when I brought it back in.

Good luck!

whats the hose for anyway? Because the piece that the hose goes on seems to be broken.

looks like it connects to one side of the pcv valve. I'm not an engine guy, but I know that has something to do with reducing emmisions.

Yeah if you remove that hose which is used in the Seafoam treatment where you suck it through the pcv valve it should reduce emissions dramatically. Dads friend showed us this trick since he works at an inspection center. We simply unhooked the hose and emissions dropped like 200%, seriously.

so you think thats not the reason why i failed? I didnt mention this but before i had the test taken i did the following, changed the oil, transmission iol, changed spark plugs, oil filter, and filled up with premium. I dont get it!

how did the plugs look when you removed them? might want to try a compression test if you have a gauge laying around..
