final drive swap

I am building a 91 civic hatch.I have a 89 dx cable tranny and was wondering if it was possible to swap the 3.888 final drive in the dx tranny for the 4.25 final drive of the Si... Any help would be greaatly appreciated.

Sure is. im looking to do the same thign down the road...i dont know when though..might keept the Dx final drive with the way gas prices are going[8D]


so, replace the final drive and you will be good


here is a site that puts the SI Fd into a Zc, kinda get the picture on what you have to do

hahaha ya i hear ya there! i thought about replacing my tranny with a EX/SI tranny to be back original since someone put a DX tranny in my 94civic BUT after thinking about it i think im gonna keep it DX for the slightly better gas milage....

at least HOPEFULLY keeping better milage....
