Default Flat - Removing a tire

Simple question, I searched and couldn't find it. I jacked up the car andremoved the lug nuts, but the rim/tire is stuck on there pretty good. I tried to use a hammer but the damnrim is still stuck. (I can probably drive without lug nuts!!) ?Any tricks to removing the tire so that I canput the spare on?

Try hitting the top of it open palmed, it worked for me the first time I had to take my tires off. It looked like there was paint or something where the rim is attached to the car. Hit it as hard as you can.

Hit where the arrows are pointing:

If that doesn't work then try using some PB Blaster between the rim and the rotor.

I heard driving back and forth in the driveway with the lug nuts loose will break it loose too. But that's onlyfor extreme cases.

I thought about PB Blaster, but I'm afraid of getting it on the rotor. There's about 1/2-inch between where it's stuck and the rotor.

I kind of like street sniper's idea as long as your safe about it. Just only go a few inches/feet both ways back and forth

I gave a good smack at the top (with a rubber mallet), as you said Mobsta, and that worked. Thanks! I put a little Permatex Anti-Seize at the rim/rotor contact points before screwing on the lug nuts, so I hope this will ease the next uninstalls.

jack it back down and wobble (or what term you call it) the steering wheel a lil bit. it should break your rims free from paint or rust. be careful not to wobble to big as the bolts may scratch your rims.

Take all the rage you have ever felt. build it up, i mean all the anger rage every single drop of it, and release it with your foot into the tire. i gaurantee it will work. but be sure that you have it on jack stands at least for that

That's what I do... just make sure you get the tire and not the wheel's lip if you have aftermarket wheels. My rear wheels stick like that every time I try to take them off.

i would lower the jack until the tire has weight on it, usually that would be enough to break it free. but i would try kicking it first.
