Default Front Crankshaft Pulley

Folks,

I am in the process of replacing a 95 1.5 liter engine with a 2000 1.6 liter engine. There is quite a bit of difference with the crank pulley. The 2000 is very heavy compared to the 95. Which one should I use? It also appears the diameters may be slightly different and I don't want a belt nightmare.

Thanks in advance for your assistance,

Coy

well are you using the 1.6 accessories or the old EG motor accessories? if your using your stock parts then i would say keep the original crank pulley. but if the brackets dont line up for the stock accessories on the new motor then youd been some 96-00 brackets and maybe the accessories as well. im not sure about interchanging those years accessories....

just check out your accessory mounting points and be sure they fit the new motor as well.
but if the cranks look the same i would use the one that came on that motor. simply put them both on the floor flat side by side and just make sure the belt groves line up.
newer parts are usualy better than older ones... ya know beter design....
