lol, not everyone can afford snap on but i think mine was like 20 bucks

Snap-on is alittle over priced. what am i talking about they are way over priced. lol... But it is nice when i can just call the snap-on guy and tell him what i need and he will bring it to me.

1999. Haynes manual also says I've got to remove the caliper bracket bolts too.

Yes, the caliper bracket sort of wraps around the rotor. The bracket needs to be removed to get the rotor off. You can also remove the bracket with caliper and pads still attached. But replace pads too, never run used pads on a new rotor.

Well didn't get to post pics because it was getting dark by the time I got home and got started. But this was easier than I expected. The retaining screws were an absolute b*tch to get out and those old rotors even took a good bit of persuasion to get off the lugs but the new ones are on and my brakes feel better than ever!

Thanks ya'll for the pieces of advice. BTW, those impact drivers are awesome. Totally worth the $20 at advance auto.
