front suspension bushing..?
I have a 93 civic EX with about 145k. The front tires wear really bad on the inside. When I took it to get aligned, they said (and showed me) I have a worn out suspension bushing. It's hard to describe which bushing it is. If you jack the car up and push/pull the tire from the outside of the vehicle, the tire will move in and out. I believe there is only one of this kind of bushing on each side of the front of the car.
I'm pretty mechanically inclined, but since it has to be pressed in/out, i'm going to have a shop do it and align it. How much around would it cost (parts & labor) to have the bushing replaced? I don't want to get screwed on this. I don't think this is a simple DIY job. I could be wrong.
Also, should I have the bushing on the other side replaced?

If the other side is fine, there's no real need for it to get replaced. Would you feel comfortable doing a job like this yourself? Can you take apart the front suspension of your car? If not I suggest taking it to someone that knows what they're doing. If you end up trying to do something like this by yourself, you will cause bigger problems and it will cost more money to get it fixed properly in the end.
