Default Fuel Filter Replacement ?

Im putting a new fuel filter on my 99 d16y7 and was wondering if i needed to purge the system somewhere after doing this to get the air out? It is at the highest point in the system so I didnt really think it is necessary but just wanted 2 make sure. Thanks

There is no need to purge the system. Just cycle the key on and off a few times before starting to build pressure.
