Default Fuel Pump always running?

I have a 2000 civic XL, and when its off, just sitting in the driveway, it sounds as if the fuel pump kicks on about every 15 minutes. Its been doing this for a while and now its taking longer to turn over. Does any one have this problem or knows whats wrong?

I wonder if an injector is leaking. So what you are telling us is that even with the keys out of the ignition, the fuel pump turns on?

<op> yes, keys out, doors locked, hours after it was last running. there is no visible leaks or puddles.

nope, ive replaced the serpentine, engine mounts, O2 sensors, etc, but nothing that might mess with the electronics. the dash lights will fail to come on every now and then, thats about it

The only way the pump can come on is something has to be energizing it. Power has to be getting to it somehow. There most likely is a leak like an open injector.
