Default Fuel Rail Issues

I just replaced the head gasket in my Sister-In-Law's 2003 Civic EX, and I'm having trouble re-installing the fuel rail/injectors.
The injectors have new o-ring and I have lubed them as per the Haynes manual directions but so far I can't get the injectors to pop in no matter what I try.
Has anyone had this problem or any suggestions that I can try.
Thanks for the help.

I would put them onto the fuel rail first, make sure they're level, then try to push them onto the intake manifold. Have the o-rings in the intake manifold first.

The injectors are on the rail and I've been trying to get them to push in, but they don't want to push in. The rail was very hard to get out in the first place.
