Default Got My Tach Cluster Finally

I finally got my tach cluster 125 bucks. ony 7 thousand miles over mine(mine has 140,200). I kinda saw how the guy took it out of the dash, just wondering, if you can clarify how to do it. Remove a few screws from the air vents and then a few more screws from the dash trim(http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...spagename=WDVW), then it unsnaps out of place and you remove the two screws on each side of the cluster and disconect the wires on the back and reverse that to put it back?!?! Am I right or close please let me know. Thanks, Josh!

yeah, i think the only screws are on the bezel inside on the top. and make sure you unplug the hazard switch before you rip out the wires trying to pull it off. and plug it back in when youre done. but yeah, that sounds like thats it.

i bought a whole cluster from the junk tard fo 75.00 that is kind of high. Even if it is off you can take the speedo cover plate off and the needle and just turn the odemeter by hand it will take a while. It will not make your speedo off unles you dont mark the exact location of the speedo before disasembling it all.

be careful, its way too easy to break the needles while trying to remove them.

I bought it up in washington while i was job shadowing being a mechanic at his shop. so he just told me to swap the whole mph guage so the mileage stays the same. oh also after i hooked it up, my instrument lights won't come on in the dash, or the ac and fan and all that. the light that light up the cel and srs and ebake and those still work. no blown fuses or anything. checked to see if there was continuity and everything was fine. any ideas?!?! Thanks. I'll post pics asap it's pouring here in santa clarita, so just gonna have to wait!!!
