Default Guage swap

Just to clarify one last time, I have a guage cluster without a tach. If I find one from the same car/year/style/blah/blah/blah is the wire for the tach coming from MY car already hanging behind the guages. So that all I have to do is hook up the tach wire on the guage to the tach wire from my car and I'm good?!?! no additional hook ups?!?!
