Default Hard Shifting 1998 Civic Hatchback DX

I recently purchased a 98 Civic Hatch, automatic transmission and recently I've been noticing some rough shifting from 2-3. I can hear the engine revving and then it jerks when shifting. There's no rpms so I can't whether it's shifting at a higher rpm. It doesn't jerk when it down shifts just moving into 3. I also noticed when in Reverse the car shakes more then normal and makes a weird noise. It has 110k miles and I'm wondering if the transmission is going or could it be something else. I'm new to Hondas and just curious to hear some opinions. Thanks in advance.

Rough shifting could be your torque converter going out. What kind of noise does it make in reverse? If its a loud whine thats normal

Sounds like the trans is slipping.
