Default Having trouble finding this part

Hey guys, I have a 99 civic ex that once had the engine rebuilt. I'm having trouble finding this part in town, the service centers are saying it's not for the 99 civic, but another year. Does anyone happen to know what year this comes from and/or where I can find a replacement?

Thanks

Do you have a picture of the motor? The only motor which came in the 99 Civic EX is the D16y8. Maybe it was swapped out?

Ya it seems as if it was swapped out. I bought it with a rebuilt title, and it's getting pretty old. The people at the auto parts store don't have a clue what year it came from. I'm just trying to see if i can find it online somewhere. I'll post a picture as soon as I can get to it. My dad says the part is called a vacuum temperature sensor/unit. He broke it changing out a busted radiator hose on the top of the engine.

Is it part #24 on this diagram, screwed into the thermostat housing where the lower radiator hose meets the back of the engine?

Honda Automotive Parts

That easily breakable valve lets more air into the intake to increase idle speed on a cold start. If you won't be using the car in cold temperatures you can just block off the two vacuum hoses.
