Default Haywire guages--HELP!!

Upon swapping out an aftermarket stereo in my '01 Honda Civic, I now can get no power to the stereo at all. That's not the largest problem. Since my stereo swap, all of my gauges (speedometer, temperature, fuel, etc) shake / flutter rapidly for the first few seconds the key is turned in the ignition. After the first few seconds of rapid shaking / fluttering, the gaugeseventually return to their normal position. My check engine light has come on. Also, the door-open beep that usually sounds when the key is in the ignition no longer makes a sound. Does anyone have any ideas on what could be the problem? I've checked all fuses, b/c that was my intial thought. All fuses seem to be fine. I am trying to get my '01 Civic ready to privately sell, but can't do so until I fix this haywaire gauge problem & the no power to the stereo issue! Not to mention the check engine light and the non-beeping door-open alarm! Theseproblems occured all at once during the stereo swap-out!Help!
