Default Head Unit wont play MP3 CD???

Hey guys, just picked up my 2007 EX. I made an MP3 Cd and put it into the cd player and it says bad disc. I then made it into a data disc, and it still said bad disc. The owners manual says it will play mp3 cd's and those same cd's work in my other car, so what gives??? Any suggestions?

Are you positive that the head unit plays mp3 cds? It should stated that around the headunit. And unless its a media player as well then it won't be able to read a data disc.

Try putting a regular cd in see if it works.

Try another brand, sometimes they just don't want to play. Often CDR's work and CDRW's won't. Mine also plays MP3's, but i prefer the quality of real CD's so I have never tried MP3's in it. I think the bad disc message is telling you the answer.

First put a real factory CD in and see if the thing works at all. If not, go back to the dealer and get a new deck under the warranty. Next, burn a regular audio CD with the same blanks and burner that you used. If that does play then it's some sort of software issue.

MP3 CD's are always done in data mode. If you drop MP3 files into an audio CD project in Roxio, it will convert them back to standard audio and make an uncompressed CD.
