alright I figured it out, I guess you just got to drench your thumb in it.....

Well the bolts on the heat shield were harder than I thought, I had to spray them multiple times with the PB untill I could jolt them loose. It looks like I got to unplug the o2 sensor to take the heat shield off. I read a DIY on hondatech.com that u got to take it off this mounting bracket befor unplugging it....I can't figure out how to get it off it. My cellphone just died I got one pic off befor it went.

Ok well, I finally got the harness un pluged from the o2 sensor. Got the heat shield off and loosened the nuts on the manifold. The ones on the converter/manifold are a pain like I thought. I managed to get them both loose, but when I put a wrench on one side to hold the nut, and try to undo the other sideit wont move. I can get it to spin if I wrench one side but not loosen. I drenched them with the rust remover, gonnalet em soak overnight and continue tomorrow.

The b00shing I put on the front/transmission side of the linkage went in ok, but haveing a hard time puting it back into the bracket where it's housed. Due to the cold maybe (39 deg)?I put some clamps on it and it fits into it a little better but I'll need to hammer it in.....should I add some standard greese to help get it in? or will that change the whole play of the shift.....I don't want to hammer it in and not be able toget it out when I do the other b00shing later(not enough room for me to get to it with just the front up).

So, didn't get as far today as I hoped. I still want to get everything done in one shot. I'll need to get the rear up higher for me to getto the center of the car to drop the shifter. Would it be reliable if I put jackstands on the rear while haveing the front up on ramps?

You should only have to put that bushing in once, and forget about it. It is a bit akward to get in there straight though. I've found the best way to do it is tap it in with a deadblow so the height of the bushing hole, is slightly lower than the hole in the bracket. Then get a big *** screwdriver, prybar whatever, and just pry it into place. Put the bolt in, and never touch it again

You should use the packet of grease that came with the kit.

I think that I'm just going to hammer the front b00shing back in and finishputting onthe header. I really want to do the whole job myself but I can't get under the spot I need to, to drop the shifter and linkage bar to install the short shifter and the other b00shing. I'll just bring it to a mechanicthat Iknowhewont charge me a lot to do the rest of it. Kinda sucks..... but I don't want to risk putting the rear up on jackstands and it being unstable.

Dude don't do that. Just raise one side of the car, thats what I did. One jackstand behind front tire, one in front of rear tire, golden

Well it's settled I need my car to drive tomorrow. So I'm going to finish putting on the header, hammer in the front b00shing and finish the rest some other time. Or just go to my mechanic. If I had a lift, doing all three of these would be cake.

Sorry Forty, atleast I gained some experience under the car. Thanks for all the tips and advice

Finally got the last bolt out of the converter/manifold. My attempts were pretty meek untill I noticed I could get good leverage by haveing the 14mm open ended wrench rest against a metal plate down there, while giving the 12mm ratchet both my arm strength to pry it off.
