Default Headlight help!!

i went through and looked at the other headlight threads. but none really helped. i have a 2000 EX. and my driver's side headlight shines way up in the sky. it looks like there are 2 little gears behing the light. and one of them says L/R. im thinking thats the thing that turns the light on the horizontal axis, while the other is vertical. only problem is when i turn these gears, nothing changes. the light stays in the same spot. any ideas on how to fix my light?

I would take off the light and clean and lube thehardware that secures the light. It's possible that you have rust that keeps the X-Y adjustments from moving.
