Hey guys, I have a hear a slight rattle when i put it in 5th gear and i was wondering if that would be the heat shield loose or something else. Can any give me some general INFO about a heat shield, like where it is and what it does. Thanks alot, much apprecitated

 

If it is the heat shield then there are two that I can think of, first one is round your manifold (header) think there is 3 bolts holding it on so check them and seeif its lose or touching manifold, next one and most likely that ive found in the past is the one around your cat, so get under your car and have a good look.

 

The heatshield on my mom's accord broke, so i tied the heatshield to the car with some mechanic wire. However, the rattle used to always happen, not in any specific gear.
