Default Heater problems

when I turn the fan on, it sounds something similar to a card in the spokes of a bicycle as it flaps quickly. I can hear it under the dash on the passenger side.... Oh, and I have a 94 dx coupe

sounds like to me that your fan is either, off axis and needs to be replaced, or something is in the air duct causing the fan to hit it.

Pray that you don't have to replace that thing, at least if it's where mine is. The manual said with AC, I couldn't do it, but I beat that bastard without venting R12.

Is your recirc return behind your glovebox? Take the door/pocket out of the glovebox assembly and look back there. There should be a screen to recirculate inside air. Turn the CC lever to recirc, and the damper should open enough for you to look in there with a flashlight.
