I just bougt my daughter a 1997 Civic Ex. It runs great but has 174,000 miles. I took it to the shop tp replace the timing belt and water pump primarily for preventative maintainence. Is there anything else I may want to consider. I noticed whil driving at night, the dash lights and headlights would slightly dim then go back to origional brightness from time to time. Any ideas on this? Thanks....

 

altenator maybe?

battery maybe?

do the standard check, brakes, exhaust, oil, trans fluid, tires, etc

otherwise there's not much, timing belt is a biggie, but you've all ready done it
