Default HELLO EVERYBODY

I just bougt my daughter a 1997 Civic Ex. It runs great but has 174,000 miles. I took it to the shop tp replace the timing belt and water pump primarily for preventative maintainence. Is there anything else I may want to consider. I noticed whil driving at night, the dash lights and headlights would slightly dim then go back to origional brightness from time to time. Any ideas on this? Thanks....

Have your charging system checked out. Auto zone can do it, and I think they will do it for free.

Thanks for the input guys. I believe I'll go yo autozone and get this checked out. Whhen I had the timing belt replaced, I went ahead and replaced all other belts. My problem with the light slighly dimming then going back seems to have gone away. It did this when the automatic transmission shifted into 5th or overdrive. Hopefully it was just a loose belt associated with the old one that was replaced. Anyway, I sure appreciate ya'lls advice. I'll probably be asking for more in the future. MaybeI can provide usefull input as well.
