Help with the Dash

Default Help with the Dash

this is the right place to post this right?
any ways i need some help removing the dash. so far unscrewed all the bolts and im able to wiggle it around. just not sure if its the air bag thats holding it in or if theres any more hidden screws.
BTW its a 94 civic DX

Yeah you have to pull the passenger air bag first. It's attached to a frame that stays with the car. Be very careful not to accidentally deploy. The battery needs to have been disconnected for several minutes. Then unplug the air bag and plug in the red shorting plug. Now it's reasonably safe. As soon as you get the air bag out, set it well away from the work area, facing up.

There's also a bolt in the very top center of the dash, under the vent grille that faces up to the windshield.

Ok, what PART of that dash are you looking at? The upper covering the mid sections? The A/c controls and the center section there? THe passanger side?

I assume the OP wants to take the whole thing out. I think the glove box, radio, heater controls, and cluster need to be removed first before removing the main dash.

yea everythings been removed now i just have to disconnect the airbag to get the dash out completely. thanks for help.
