Default Help My civic sounds like a Peterbilt!

Hi there! Im desperate for some advice on some issues Ive been having with my 07' Civic ex. The last month and a half, when I start my car in the a.m., it sounds like A diesel engine. Its terrifying... When I eventually put into drive, the noise subsides, but it kinda sputters a bit, especially when I take my foot off the gas. Almost like its losing power intermittently,as the day goes on a and I drive it, the noises go away and it works ok. My dad is mechanically inclined, but thinks it may be something techinical(sensor) that is causing this, and hes old school so he doesnt know a lot abt it.. He was thinking something with the Fuel system(fuel sensor?). We'd appreciate any advice or help, before I go blow some money getting it diagnosed at the dealership.

Thanks so much,
Nicole:confused

Is there a check engine light? If so, you can take it to Autozone or Advance or somewhere and they'll pull the code for free. But with a car that new, I wouldn't think that's normal wear and tear.

the code basically tells the person what is wrong with the car. and this might be whats making your car sound like that. take your car to autozone and have them check what the code is. the machine they use will tell you what exactly is wrong with the car. and then you can come back post it up here of what they say the code is. and other people can help you.
