Default Help! no power!

Hello,

I'm new to the forum and haven't ever had to ask for help before since my 2001 Honda has always run great! I'm in need of some assistance trying to figure out why the car runs fine while parked but, when under a load it spits and sputters......

I replaced the rotor in the cap per a friend's advise but, no help....

2001 Honda civic w/ 193,000 miles
Thanks in advanced for any help!

Check the timing. If the performance abruptly went away, it could be because the timing belt has skipped a tooth. Also the coil could be partway blown, check for strong blue sparks.

The spark plug wires are the most fragile part of the ignition system, and you can't tell if they're bad by looking, so just replace them. Also take the plugs out and inspect / replace. If one plug looks different from the others, there is a problem related to that cylinder.
