SOME ONE PLZ HELP...... I got a 92-95 honda civic lx but im having sum trouble on it. i just bought it from a guy for 500 bucks cuz he didnt want it anymore. it had a burned clutch so i put a new clutch in it at my auto tech shop in school. but the guy i bought the car from put a 1.6 v tech in it and un hooked the power steering, a.c and sum sh*t to get more power to the engine. i really dont care im 16 and i just want to have a nice lil ricer. but the guy i bought the car from said that the IAC valve was bad..... i need to know, wat i need to do to get it fixed.... i dont have tons of money to take it to the shop but if i have to i can ..... can SOME ONE PLZ HELP ME???

 

Junkyard and pick up another IACV, I'm 95% sure that the IACV from 92-00 are the same so one from any D15 or D16 motor should work. The junkyard by me sells them for like $7 if that.

 

why did he say that that was bad.
is there a CEL on?
should be , i think, if iacv is bad.
is your idle speed racing or otherwise off the mark? does your idle speed drop off if you turn the lights on??

i have removed mine i sprayed it with carb cleaner and let it set wiht the cleaner for a couple of hours, then dumped that out and sprayed it with wd-40 and put it back in. did not help though, since i think the computer is the problem.
