Default Help with problem?

Hi, I'm new to these boards. I am having a problem with my wife's 2000 ex sedan. The front end seems to be making this vibrating/humming ? noise whenever I am backing down a hill or turning the steering wheel all the way and accelerating. My guess is that the cv shafts or drive shafts are going? The car has 43,000 miles. Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated. How can i check if the shafts are bad?

Thanks

Don't worry about the sound it makes when you're backing up. That's normal because the reverse mechanism has a little idler gear in there that causes a noise. However, the turning problem sounds like a CV shaft going out. Does it make a clicking sound kind of? If does then it is your CV's. Just take it in to your local mechanic and you can get it replaced for pretty cheap.
