Default HID for Civic

I recently bought this Xenon HID Conversion kit that comes with everything, the bulbs, the cables and ballast.

Me and my friend installed it and their is something wrong about it.

When I bought it, the person showed me that low beam is HID and high beam is just a hallogen bulb.

When I stuck it into my Civic 96, the HID would only work on High beam and the hallogen works on low beam.

Also when I turn off the head lights Right headlights is off and the left one is still on..

Each side has 2 bulbs each. 1 HID and 1 hallogen. The HID bulb is in the middle and the hallogen is on outside.

So far I dont really know what it is.. Does anyone know how to fix this problem or is it just defective.

Thanks!

are you sure the HID is supposed to go in the middle? with my halo projector lights the low beam were the outside bulbs and the high beam was the inside bulbs

are you talking about halogen headlights or the projector headlights? bulb size, H4? H1? also, your talking about the plug and play hid's right? is this a brand new kit or a used kit? if it's a new kid sounds to me the positive and negative might be switched or you could have wired them wrong. pics would help

The wiring seems fine... it's plug and play
Red matches with red and black matches with black.
In the middle theirs a bulb which is the HID, it is small and has a pink stripe, and the outside is a bigger bulb which is the hallogen...
The size is H4, I bought it for 200 brand new.. I had them test out the unit and it worked just fine

Still the weird thing is that when I turn off my head lights one of the sides is turned off and the other is flickering even when i turn off high beam

I'll try to get pix in tomorrow
