[X(]My Honda Civic 2000 was stolen two weeks ago, when the police finally found it, the only problem it had was that the battery was losing charge; so I decided to get a new one. However, after I installed it and I took it for a ride, the engine suddenly stopped three times, I thought that maybe was because the car passed a few days without warming the engine.
But the real problem started two days after I installed the battery. Last Tuesday night, when i tried to start the car all the lights in the dash board turned on by themselves and then everything shut down. after that, i tried to start it again but nothing happen... it seems as if all the electrical system is dead.[sm=crossbonesgif.gif]
I need help....Does someone have an idea of what could be the problem?

 

first off get the battery checked out, if its dead than you alternator has quit.

 

before we checked the wires because A friend told me that if on is loose that migth be the problem but nothing everything looks fine , I also checked the ignition switch it looks fine but before I took a wire off the battery ,then I plugged back and I tried to start the car and the dash board turned on the ligth from the inside turn on , when I turned it off and then back on everything turned off.It looks like the battery ran out of energy ,then we took the battery's wire again for a few minutes and plugged it back . and I checked the litgth and it was weak I turned it off .I tried to start the car the dash board turn on .and the same thing happen.(could it be another wire that I haven't checked and can doing a shortcircuit?)


what can I do?


Now what in the case of the alternator you told me to checked what can I do ?

Lie dude was saying you need to check the alternator. If it is good. Then i would say that the thieves probably switched out our computer. And gave you one that was trashin or was alread short circuited. SUCKS huh

 

i dont think they would switch out the computer, it will probably the alternater, you can go some places for free and get them tested to see if there working fine, thats your best bet..
