I have a 98 Honda Civic DX, When I turn it to the click right before you turn it on, the utility lights come on the dashboard. On my car the oil & battery light will stay on & the check engine lights up to but after 3 seconds it turns itself off and the oil & battery stay on even tho i put oil yesterday, & then when i start the car , they'll go away, what should i do?

 

It's working normally. Any time the key is on but the engine is not running, the oil and battery lights will be on. If they come on while the engine is running, there is a problem.

 

Mk is correct. All is well with your car it seems. The vehicle is seeing zero power from the alternator, and zero oil pressure when the key is in the position since the motor is not running. Once it turns on, oil pressure and power from the alternator begin to come around and the lights turn off.
