Honda civic gearbox oil

Default Honda civic gearbox oil

i have a 1998 r registered honda civic 1.4 tornado and i need to top up the gearbox oil.

where is the filler.

there is a small tube on the top of the gearbox with a rubber cap on which has a arrow and a breather on.

is this it?

No if it's manual there's a plug in the side away from the engine. It's in the back near where the axle goes in. Park the car on a level surface unscrew the plug and fill until you can't put any more in because it runs out the hole.

how do you know you have to do this? or are you trying to change your transmission fluid?
