Honda wont run after sitting at night
I have a 1991 civic that won't start after sitting all night. I can put a hair dryer under the hood and let it heat up for a bit and then the car starts. Ijust had a new distributor and timing belt installed. Any ideas on what the problem might be?
Difficult cold starts can be caused by a faulty or dirty EACV.
Is the Check Engine Light (CEL) ON? If so, retrieve the code from the blinking LED in the ECU.
If the CEL is not ON, then you also might want to replace the spark plugs and wires, as well as the distributor cap and rotor (if they were not recently replaced).
