how do you know what motor mount you need?
I know that I need a new motor mount, but I'm not quite sure which one.
Is there anyway I can figure it out without having to go take it to get checked?
it vibrates when I turn it on, even more on reverse and it quiets down when I put it on Drive. Ive been looking for a diagram for my car, so that maybe I can locate which is which..and have more of an idea what motor mount needs to be replaced. I'm really hoping its the upper or lower strut, cause its a fairly new car..and I wouldnt think itd be the other.
Its a 2008 honda civic lx 70,000.
Also, i'm new to this forum thing , and im a female..lol , so you know I know little to **** about cars.
Please help! thank you!

What I would do is get someone (that you trust) to get in the car while your looking under the hood and go from drive to reverse and watch the engine to see if there is any exessive movement of the engine. For example if the engine moved towards the rear more then the front then you can check the rear and front mounts, if it kinda twists in a certain direction then I would check the side mounts
