Default How should I drop my car and be safe.

So the thought of dropping my car keeps crossing my mind, and I have a friend of mine who can do it (hes a mechanic and has an older civic all tricked out). Everything on my car atm is stock but the 17" League rims with Falken low profile tires. I have an 01 EX coupe if it matters and it seems as if the back side is higher than the front.
Is there anyone out there who has an 01- 05 civic thats dropped with good results? How much should I drop it in the rear and how much in the front, or is it the same, what are some good brands for coilovers, and which is the best way to go.

Thanks in advance Civicn00b-

Look into Ksport, Form/functionandprogress coilovers. You will want to pick up a camber kit as well.

Here's a couple links for coilovers:
