Default Hydrolocked Engine Possibly

I live in MN and about to weeks. ago just my street corner flooded and my car was parked on the street and the water was up to the lugs. So when the rain finally stopped i wanted to get my car out of the water before more storms came and it flooded more. So in order to get it out of the water I was in a rush so i just backed in up into my driveway. While i was backing up in the driveway it started to bog down but still ran and started.

Now i know the water didnt get in through the intake because its a sri, the water wasnt high enough. The water also didnt get through any seals because the engine doesnt leak a drop. The only possible way that water could have possible get in the engine is through the exhaust because that was underwater but my thinking was that because the pressure that is pushing out through the manifold wouldnt allow water to get in the water and do any damage.

The car still runs and drives fine although it does have a knock under power. I still drive it everyday to work without problem.

The car is a 94 civic si with a d16z6. Manual Transmission. With aftermarket cat-back exhaust.

Im wondering that if maybe a sensor got fried and is causing it to knock.
I dont have a check engine light but the owner before did some pretty half assed installations on my car so he might have disabled the light.

I just recently bought this car 2 months ago and a month before that i bought another 92 civic si, but 2 days after i bought it got smashed into parked on the side of the street.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Let me know if you need anymore information to make a conclusion

Usually people disable the CEL by removing the bulb in the cluster.

When the key is turned to ON(II) (engine not running), the CEL should illuminate for 2 seconds and then turn off, if there are no CEL codes. Check whether the CEL turns on for 2 seconds. If not, check whether the CEL bulb has been removed.
