I have an 02 Civic LX. Its in fantastic condition. It has about 97k miles, manual transmission. Its a great, efficient little car; I just wanted it to be a bit zippier but I'm not completely sure where to start. And I'd be alright sacrificing a little bit of gas mileage. I know a bit about cars and I'm always reading more, but I wanted some individual opinions. I'm just looking for some bolt-ons and whatnot, nothing incredibly expensive. I have an entire garage available to me so just about any idea will be considered. Imagine this were your car, whats the first couple things you'd do to it? I'm not too worried about the looks or making it a "sleeper", if that happens though I won't complain. I appreciate anything and everything. There are some pictures of it in the picture part of the forum.

a tranny swap would make a huge difference. and like the post before me said intake header exhaust, maybe some NOS lol
