No, totally different problem with the throttle plate was sticky. I didn't notice this kind of high rpms.

then you can ignore this as a cause (although don't rule it out!)
the fact that your car over heated suggests that damage could have been caused to some components - the most likely (and cheapest to replace) would be the temp sensor

have you had your ac charged recently?

Seems like very time something breaks on this car and gets fixed or replaced...it causes something else to break! The a/c has been totally rebuild just a couple years ago. Air is ice cold.

I'm just wondering why it was weird last night and fine this morning.... Must be possessed!
