Idling Problems

Default Idling Problems

I have a 1995 civic ex and i just put another motor in it and i used the old throttle body off of my old motor and i have also cahgne the idle valve sensor and i still have a idling problem it wants to go from a 1000 rpm and jump up to 2500 rpm on its own any suggestions? could it be any other sensors

check for vacuum leaks
it could be air in the coolant system. did you bleed the coolant system after you filled it with antifreeze?

Trust has some good suggestions that you should look into.

Is the CEL ON?

Also, the throttle body has two holes/ports, which lead to either the IACV/EACV or the fast idle valve. When the engine is warm, use your finger to cover the hole/port in the throttle body leading to the fast idle valve. If you feel suction and blocking the port returns the idle to normal, then cleaning the fast idle valve may fix the problem.
