Default Im abusive to my clutch

alright, my car is giving me problems going into gear. about 3 weeks ago, i was driving and i took off from a stop sign. when i went to put my car in 2nd, it wouldnt go, with the clutch pedal to the floor. i tried to go into all the other gears and it wouldnt go. so i pulled over to the side of the road, and tried again one last time and it went in. ive been driving it since then but my clutch pedal pressure has been weak. today it finally didnt want to go into gear at all. i just got done bleeding the clutch, and its still doesnt want to go into gear. Do i need a new clutch disc? i drive a 99 honda civic dx with the D16y7 motor.

If you have low (or no) pressure in the clutch pedal, it sounds like either a bad clutch master cylinder or slave cylinder. Since you just bled them, you probably didn't see any leaking fluid from either, but I'd crawl into the driver's side footwell, and look for the rod that attaches the clutch pedal to the master cylinder. Odds are, your leak is coming from the diaphragm on the firewall, and leaking down onto the carpet.

A worn clutch will show a number of different symptoms, but it's typically seen as revving the car and not going anywhere.

Having to pump the pedal to build up pressure means that the master cylinder is bad. It's just like a bad brake master cylinder where you have to pump the pedal to stop. Such a cylinder may or may not leak to the inside of the car, since it is an internal seal that makes the pressure.

Im going to replace the slave cylinder today its an 11 dollar art brand new/refurbished from autozone, and shouldnt take long, i havent seen any leaks from my system, and i plan on flushing it becuz the fluid is pretty dirty. when i bleed it last night, the pedal had plenty of pressure like its suppose to, but it just dont want to go in gear, if its not the slave, i replace the master, and go from there, ive always been told your suppose to change them together anyways.
