alright so this is the deal. i see a old hatch for sale and i call the guy. he tells me its a d16 motor and i can come check it out. when i get there i look and its dohc. so i tell the guy how is it a dohc if d16 only come sohc, he points to me on the block where it says "d16a" so i cant really argue with the guy. ne ways i end up gettin it for really cheap and it runs so hey its my first car. but i'm talkin to a friend of mine and he tells me the same thing, how can it be dohc if its a d16 it must be b series he says.

so my question is how is what i have possible???? is there really such thing as a dohc d16? or can u modify a motor to do that?

which d series motor is dohc? d16's arent are they?

 

They are labled as ZC's and D16A's. The D16A is out of a late 80's Integra

 

yea i have a d16a in the hatch thanx man it helped out i was confused for awhile there. so those motors push like 120 hp?
