Default :confused: i need help with a head swap sohc 2 dohc :confused:

i was wondering there is a way to swap my stock d16z6 sohc vtec with any dohc vtec head and evertyhing line up like water jackets and oil control jet and such. please let me know the sohc is killing me








95 honda civic ex boosted & juiced 10lbs to much sh*t to list.

Ummmmm. I doubt a DOHC head will fit on a SOHC.

No it doesn't work. Buy a new engine.

fu*k that i already rebuilt the bottom end and boosted it. plus i found out you can convert it you just have to get a conversion kit.

+1. there might be a conversion kit on ebay.....but i doubt it works haha

DITO. any CONVERSION kit to make everything line up is extra space between the head and block meaning your compresion goes to hell! your belts need to be longer. well in short total crap! keep a SOHC on a sohc motor. if you want a DOHC then buy a whole swap! ( and yes you need the tranny as well)
