Default Installing load resistor

]

if that doesn't work... http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y19...brakelight.jpg

Basically that's the wires for my brake lights... Trying to hook up a load resistor since i narrowed that as the problem.

The thing is, as shown in the picture there are 4 wires... not sure what's pos/neg (which i guess i can check with a voltmeter) but what i'm saying is... that's as far as i can pull it out... not sure how i can get the resister in... the clip is about as long as it will come out..

If that makes any sense... not sure what to do. Any suggestions? I can try clipping and extending them... but not much wire to work with there.

I got these:
