installing a tachometer in a 90 civic

Default installing a tachometer in a 90 civic

i believe the wire for the tach that im looking for is the bluish greenish wire right on the distributor. not 100% on that though i got all the other wires hooked up fine any help with this would be greatly appreciated!

The signal for the tach gauge comes on a blue wire from the coil in the distributor.

The wire is already inside the car, behind the cluster. Tap into it there, it is much easier.

The general wisdom seems to be: just go to a you-pull-it, find an LX, EX, or SI from your generation, and swap out the cluster with that. Looks a ton cleaner that way as opposed to bolting a tach onto your dash.
