Default Jump the Compressor?

I have Goggled & looked up on how to jump the AC Compressor for about a week & I haven't found any info on how to so far. Does anyone have any pics or detailed instructions on how to jump it? I know I should jump it for a second or 2 so I won't damage the compressor & with the car on.

I have a 92 Civic LX with 185,000 miles(auto).

The only reason to "jump the compressor" is to test the clutch with the ENGINE OFF. It is actually a better test anyway since the battery voltage is lower with the engine off.

Forcing the compressor on with the engine running often creates an overpressure which will blow the relief valve or the high side hose. It can happen within seconds.
