92 Civic with 194,000 miles.
My Civic been acting a fool lately, Last week I was just pulling into the gas station and the engine just shut off..CEL was on along with the battery light. I thought accidentally bumped the key with my leg into the second click position...but my Civic did start back up with no issues.

2 weeks later(today) I turn the key to the 2nd click(as I always do)..and I didn't hear the Fuel Pump prime..tried it again..didn't hear it. So I just cranked it a couple seconds till the car came on(is that odd or is it just me?). Pulled out the parking lot & the engine just shutoff with the battery light on(no CEL).

I cranked it again & the engine came on and drove home without any issues.

I brought my Relay Main alittle over a year ago and my Fuel Pump 10 months ago. There have been times which I never hear the Fuel Pump..till I retry at least a couple times more THEN I hear it. At times there is a DELAY of hearing it prime..like 8-12 seconds. What should I check out first?

 

Just an update..I tested fuses 31, 24(with test light) and 18(with test light & Multimeter). 31 and 24 light up, But 18 has no light(with engine on)..but it shows as 0.05 about on the meter.

Still asking(researching) Google what to do next but any suggestions or advice I would appreciate. Thank You in advance!

Yes, it starts when I try to crank it a few times. That's because there's no fuel in the fuel lines, and that's because there's a delay with the fuel pump being primed. So the question is....Why does the fuel pump delay when priming? If there's a longer period between driving like if I don't drive for 6 hours..then I go to start my car..the delay is longer(about 10-15 seconds to prime).

If I turn the key to II..I can't hear the pump right away(delay), it's as if something has to warm up before the pump primes.

It did shutoff a couple times...not sure why. But I started it back up like normal like nothing happened. I believe it might be my ECU but not sure.

My ACS fuse(#12) was popped, replaced it...same issue(delay of fuel priming).
I also replaced the Main Relay yesterday..same issue.
