I have a 89 Honda Civic LX. Recently I cleaned the engine becuase it was messy from a previous coolant leak. Now it starts fine, and idles fine, when i put in Drive, it drives fine. However when i press the gas pedal down to accelerate....... it dies. If i tap the accelerator, it will get some momentum, but i cant live going 15 miles an hour. Do you know what could have caused this?

 

it might me but not for sure your injectors, maybe but not sure so don't hold me against it

 

easy fix, and its free... remove and dry out your distributor cap, you have water in it!
