I have a 98 Honda Civic EX, which came stock with keyless entry.I just got it, andapparently it bounced around from dealer to dealer for about a week before I got it. I only got one key, and no keyless entry remote.

The OEMHU was taken out by the original owner and replaced with a PoS HU. When I was putting my stereo inI noticedthat the siren from the alarm is still there. I recall reading somewhere that the OEM CD player pretty much controls the keyless entry/alarm, hence why people recommend you hide the OEMHU under the dash. The fuse for the security systemhas been taken out,and there's a harness behind the stereo that isn't connected to anything. I assume thats related to the security system?So, my question, how much work would be required to get keyless entry working again? My other option is to get a Viper security system installed, but that would run me about $150-200. Would the dealer charge me if I had them take a look and figure out what needs to be done to get it working again?
